Good news! I got my Samsung SSD T3 to function like normal and I did not have to download and boot Catalina on an external drive. The only problem is, I already have files on the drive and they'd disappear if I reformat the SSD. I did some research and someone said I don't need SAMSUNG's software, that I should just go to Disk Utility and format the SSD to APFS and that will wipe out the unnecessary software and annoyances.
